Each and every year, it just turns out the same: between October 31st and March 1st, it's just like hell to me.

Cause I deeply hate all this fucking pretended joy on seasons greetings, and I hate being cold and sick, and seing all those tramps starving and dying down the street with people in warm coats passing by without just noticing them.

The only good point about all this is food.

Here in France, food is the most important part of a well done Christmas dinner:
it's all about how you're going to impress back your remote cousin who invited you last year and was so proud and talkative about her truffe and foie gras filled turkey.

With this improvised food contest, you can hope getting your belly filled with delighting meats you'll never get served in normal occasion (understand: if your aunt had not to prove her stupid cow of a sister in law that she's a much better house keeper and wife ;))

=Letting the "Big Dinner" apart, there is also the candymakers festival.

As a fashion creator would launch his new collection, candymakers will imaginate new flavors, textures and colors for the occasion.

And at last, but by no means least, there are the glace chestnuts.

That's my favorite part. I could feed myself only of oysters and glace chestnuts.
Thanks to them, each and every year, I survive the season grettings.

On a more optimistic tone, this week-end, Mr & Me are going to close his country house for the upcomming winter, which means we'll spent our last week end there for this year.

It'll be the occasion for me to take some fresh shots, as I left my cam at home since september and therefore didn't got creative at all.

Anything else?

Yeah, as some of you might already know, I finally launched a club:

:iconstorytellingphotos: *StoryTellingPhotos

It's slowly but surely growing, so I'll soon need one or two admins to help me running it properly.

If you're interested, just send me or the club a note.

Now here we go for the features!

Don't hesitate to check theirs authors gallery, you might be pleased !!!

So!

It's been almost four months since I joined dA.

Last night, before going to sleep, I took a look at my dA,
as I'm a dAmn addict, I tend to check new messages and
deviations nearly each ten minutes =D=D=D

But what a nice surprise when I saw that I had achieved a 1000 pageviews!

Click it for full view

Guess it's now time for a little check up ;p

When I joined dA, I already knew about it for a couple of years,
but I have never considered posting,
I only used it to find some nice pictures to illustrate
articles I posted on my blog
(and I did gave credit for them, I promise =D).

The point is I was really a more active "wannabe-artist"
at this time, as I was still in high school, and therefore,
had much more time to draw (all day long, instead of
following the class =D Yeah, that's a cliché, I know.)

Then I started to work and study at the same time,
which didn't left me so much free time.

In spite of my architectur studies, I did felt a lack of...
how to say it...
free art in my life.

Photography was starting to be THE thing to do,
everyone was photographying everything,
and they all have great pictures in their galleries.

It seemed to be easy and quick to do, as satisfying and interesting.

I had never put my hands on a camera before,
but anyway, I decided to buy one to try and take some pictures.

Naturally, I started by taking pictures randomely, testing my new
camera's abilities, and mine by the way.

It's just the beginning, I know that my shots are quite classic and academic,
but thanks to you, other deviants, I learn each day a litlle bit more.

Now I think I should also get back to drawing, because I'm thinking about
mixing the two medias, and that as I lost a lot of my skill by not training,
I now have to regain it.

What I really like about DA is that it seems to be ran by
a such nice community spirit, not like other web-communities,
where it's too often a fame contest.

Instead, here, everyone can gain some expozure
only by being a little active on the site and, obviously,
by producing some nice pictures,
and not by being asslicking toward famous members.

Now, here we go for this journal's features, all picked in my favorite section.

Hope you'll like them, and, if so, please pay their authors
gallery a visit and show them some support,
they're all talented artists and deserve it.

STAMPS:

Hi everyone!

Now that each and everyone is back to work after their holidays, I've had much more stuff to do at work, and when I got home I've been so exhausted I didn't took the time to test the new options I got on dA since I subscribed.

Neither did I had time to submit new or better versions of my deviations, or to join the clubs I wanted to and submit them some work.

But now, it's week-end, at last, and a free one.

So today I'm going to post here some features, to make a new avatar, to correct and repost some deviations, to join clubs and submit them work, and if I find also some time to make a few stamps, that would be great.

Right now I'm testing my first CSS journal's template, hope you like it :)

Here are some features of my favorites since I join dA.

Hope you'll enjoy them, and if so, please pay their authors's gallery a visit, you may not regret it...:)
